The Brita Purity C 150 Quell St replaceable cartridge can be used with any head of the Purity C line. The main advantage of the replaceable cartridge is its comprehensive, multi-stage approach to water purification. At the first stages of filtration, large mechanical particles and harmful chemicals that give water an unpleasant taste, color and odor are removed. Then, activated carbon absorbs chlorine compounds and other organic impurities. Silver ions give the filter bactericidal properties: they help disinfect water. As a result of the ion exchange process, the filter absorbs metal salts. At the final filtration stage, the final removal of ion decay products and harmful microorganisms occurs.
